hi im 16 and im very eager to become a concept artist, i'd love you to crit my work i haven't posted many of my things up yet but but tips would be great ........ *did u use a program to great the shadows beneath or did that come out of ur head?
Hi, Your art is really cool, try drawing with reference to you visuzalizar the masses of light and shade. Study anatomy from live model and photo. With this greatly increases your perception. Study Gesture and principamente traditional art. Not be inspired by the shell, try searching the contents that will serve as a basis to create their art. =]
dude thanks so much, ya i definitly need to do a bunch of rough gestures so i can put my characters in more elaborate positions, also could u explain what princepamente traditional art is ? also what do you mean by: not getting inspired by the shell? // anyway thanks so much for the feedback
Hi, I know this is months old but I was linked to this image just now. I think by "principamente traditional art" he means the principles of traditional art, so basically study how traditional art is done and its styles. "Inspired by the shell" likely means to not just see an object or person as a single object by only thinking of what you see, but look inside, imagine the skeleton or its internal structure and you will understand the subje t better and be able to draw (if you wish) in a more realistic way.
I hope that clears it up, and also that you are still pursuing your drawing. If someone has already given their opinion of these phrases then great. I wish you all the best.
High tech bow and arrows, will I ever get tired of you? Probably not. Great piece, I've grown a soft spot for futuristic armour and weapons lately, but mostly ones derived from primitive weapons like swords and arrows. I adore that bow, the orange light projections at the end and the middle bits, the white-blue arrorw, they work so well together. I can imagine when he raises the weapon a screen pops up in front of him to assist in targeting and power in the shot, more deadly than any gun. The armour is cool too with the orange markings and cybernetic spine (the ankles seem a bit thin thought)
